Meet Our Doctors

Dr. Nowery has been the owner of Pet Medical Center of Westerville since 1999.  He is a two time graduate of the Ohio State University with a B.S. in Zoology and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. He has a strong interest in surgery and dentistry.

He lives in Westerville with his wife, son and daughter. They have a Long haired Chihuahua (Lady), a teacup Yorkie (Sparkles; pictured) and a Pomeranian/long haired chihuahua mix (Foxy).

In addition to being recommended as on of the best vets in Westerville, he and his family are members of Heritage Christian Church in Westerville near Columbus.

Dr. Nowery enjoys landscaping, OSU sports (GO BUCKS!!!), playing basketball and golf, and spending time with his family.

Jimmy Reynolds, DVM, is the founder of On the Spot Mobile Specialty and Veterinary Services and COVE Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Hospital. Dr. Reynolds completed his undergraduate in Animal sciences at The Ohio State University, he then continued into vet school and received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2014 from The Ohio State University. Dr. Reynolds started his career in emergency medicine finding his passion for emergency care and surgery, he then took a position in general practice where he learned the importance of general animal care and growing relationships with his patients’ care-takers. Dr. Reynolds took the knowledge that he gained from both experiences and started On the Spot which would provide advanced surgeries at general practices around Central Ohio, with the goal of opening COVE, a Specialty and Emergency center to better serve the pet owners of Central Ohio and surrounding areas

Dr. Cory Brown is a Board-Certified Internal Medicine specialist with over 20 years of experience, who performs ultrasounds, echocardiograms, fine needle aspirates, biopsies, and more, providing a thorough Internal Medicine consultation and recommendations.

Dr. Brown is originally from Oklahoma and attended Oklahoma State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine to earn his doctorate and become a licensed veterinarian. He went on to complete an internship at Auburn University as well as a residency in small-animal internal medicine at Purdue University. Next, Dr. Brown launched his professional career by working in several large, multi-modality specialty hospitals before making the jump into consulting work.

Dr. Brown consults for veterinarians across Columbus and surrounding areas to provide internal medicine specialty services, advanced imaging work, and second opinions for difficult cases.  His favorite part of the job is helping to diagnose an illness or condition early on, allowing for prompt and proper treatment to return a sick pet to full health.
